Camp of the Woods

For the weekend we all -except for Scott- went to Camp of the Woods for our yearly homeschool board meeting. We had so much fun. When we first got there none of the other board families were there yet so we went ice skating. Sam spent most of his time on the ground.

On Saturday all of the board kids along with two of the mothers went on a walk over a frozen lake.

There was a huge room with climbing walls all around. Even Synthia was able to climb.

All of the ladies and girls loved to hold Silas. I hardly ever got a chance. Here is Stephanie holding Silas.

On Saturday night I was asked if I would sing in the worship team on Sunday morning. Here is an amazingly talented group. I am all the way over to the right and Seth is second from the left

We had so much fun and I cannot wait to meet with these amazing people again.

Pajama Night at Olympians

I never did say anything about Olympians. Last week we had pajama night and it was a big hit. We had lots of fun. First look at this picture and you might guess that the kids are calmly getting into their sleeping bags to watch a movie or something. But once you watch this video you will understand better what is happening with the game.

A quick update on the last couple of days:
-Monday at 1:15 I finally had my first piano lesson. It went great and I really enjoyed my teacher. She said that I was a little farther along than a beginner but there are still a lot of things yet to learn. I can not wait until my next piano lesson. Later that day we went ice skating Sean, Scott, Seth, Shayla, and I, along with a few friends. That was my second time this year and we had lots of fun.
-Tuesday was our first day of skiing for this year. This year that Youngmanns are going. Most of my time was helping Cherry get up and waiting for her to continue on down the mountain. I think that she thought that I was not having a good time but was she wrong. The Youngmanns tend to be good at almost everything so I was happy to get to make fun of them in this area. Don't worry they don't mind they even laugh along with me.
-Wednesday we finally got back into Olympians for the first time since before Christmas. Unfortunately we had a poor turnout but we still had lots of fun. Can't wait until next week.

Hasty's part 2 and a wedding shower

So The end of the Hasty's story is that they decided on Friday that they needed somewhere to stay and came back to our house luckily their car was finally fixed around lunchtime on Saturday and after getting their things together once again they headed off on their way to where ever they were going.
Also on Saturday Mom, Shayla, Synthia, Silas, and I were going to a wedding shower for Becka Saaman. It takes about four hours to get there and it was snowing so it was going to be an all day thing and we left home around 10:00am and got home at about 9:00pm. Silas was a great traveler and it was so good that we got to go and see the aunts and girl cousins.

Happy Happy New Year to all!! Today we had a music practice at church for the youth band and after that we went ice skating unfortunately no pictures but we did have lots of fun. For dinner all but Sean and Scott went to the Snyder's for dinner and games afterwards we had lots of fun and got home a little before eleven. Sean and Scott had invited a bunch of young adults to come over for games so right now they are playing poker in the dining room. Anyway, Welcome 2010!!
